What is a Caregiver Navigator and how do I work with one?

Activating a Caregiver Navigator requires participation from your employer, health plan, or membership organization.

A Caregiver Navigator is an ianacare staff member who provides coaching, navigation, and concierge support for your caregiving journey. For example, they can:

  • Create a personalized action plan for you
  • Connect you to local services for your unique caregiving needs
  • Help you understand benefits you may not know you have
  • Coach you through difficult caregiving conversations with your care circle

How it works

  1. Sign up in the ianacare mobile app or the web app.
  2. Answer a few quick questions (about 3 minutes) so we can match a Navigator skilled for your situation.
  3. You'll be matched within 24–48 hours.
  4. Communicate with your Navigator by chat, phone, or video. Navigators are available 8am–8pm EST, Mon–Fri and will work within a schedule and frequency that works for you.

Once matched, your Navigator appears right on your Home screen. Tap the Navigator card to Send a message or Schedule a call.
